Michael Shtutman

Michael Shtutman currently serves as an Associate Professor and Director of Functional Genomics Core at the University of South Carolina, a position held since April 2011. Prior to this, Michael was an Assistant Professor at the same institution, and a Staff Scientist (PI) at Ordway Research Institute from November 2003 to April 2011. Earlier roles include Senior Scientist at QBI and Group Leader at Quark Pharmaceuticals Inc. Michael began his scientific career as a Visiting Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science and held positions at Ben Gurion University and the N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center, where a PhD was completed. Academic credentials include a Master of Science degree from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia.
