Sona Gholizadeh

Sona Gholizadeh is currently a Research Assistant Professor of Engineering Education at the University of South Carolina, with experience in various academic roles since 2019. Prior to this, Sona served as an Educational Data Analyst at Florida Data Analysis Services from 2017 to 2018 and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record at the University of Central Florida from 2013 to May 2017, where responsibilities included co-teaching active learning techniques to pre-service teachers. Earlier experience includes roles as a Strategic Planning Project Manager at Mahmood Entrepreneurial Consulting Company from 2007 to 2011, and as a Strategic Planning Assistant at M.A.S.I.R Research Institute from 2004 to 2006. Sona holds a PhD in Science Education from the University of Central Florida, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Tabriz.
