Lead Senior Director Of Development - College Of Engineering And Computing at University of South Carolina

Will Johnson has a diverse work experience starting from 2008 as a Senior Program Assistant at Iowa State University Foundation, where they supervised and mentored student fundraisers, raising over $3 million. Will then joined J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in 2011, starting as a Carrier Sales Coordinator and later being promoted to roles such as Sr. Business Development Representative and Business Development Manager. At J.B. Hunt, they were responsible for developing a new customer base, managing existing accounts, and leading contract and rate negotiations. In 2016, they transitioned to Iowa State University Foundation as a Director of Development, engaging and cultivating philanthropic support and focusing on alumni engagement. Currently, they work at the University of South Carolina as the Lead Senior Director of Development for the College of Engineering and Computing, leading efforts to partner with alumni, friends, and companies to enhance the college through philanthropy and establish it as the engineering and computing institution of choice.

Will Johnson completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business in 2011. In 2014, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Drake University, which they completed in 2016. As part of their educational journey, they also participated in a Study Abroad program focused on International Business at John Cabot University in 2010. Prior to their higher education, Will attended Exira Jr/Sr High School from 2001 to 2007. Additionally, they obtained a certification from VC University Online in 2020, offered by VC University.
