Jyoti Angal

Jyoti Angal, PhD, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Dakota since October 2022. Concurrently, Jyoti Angal holds the position of Director of Clinical Research at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center since December 2017. From 2019 to December 2022, Jyoti Angal contributed as a member of the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections under the Office for Human Research Protections, Department of Health and Human Services. Previous roles include Director of the Regulatory Knowledge Core at the Collaborative Research Center for American Indian Health, where Jyoti Angal focused on federal human subjects protections regulations and developed educational modules for American Indian communities. At Sanford Health, Jyoti Angal served as Director of Community Based Research, overseeing large-scale maternal and child health research projects and community engagement efforts. Jyoti Angal's academic qualifications include a PhD in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences from the University of South Dakota and a Master’s in Public Health from San Jose State University.
