Maged Helmy

Maged Helmy, PhD, is a prominent figure in the field of software engineering and artificial intelligence, currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Newcode AS since November 2021, where Maged leads four remote teams managing over 15 key projects across various sectors, including government and healthcare. In addition to entrepreneurial endeavors, Maged holds dual roles as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Software Engineering at the University of South-Eastern Norway, focusing on research and education for engineering students. Prior experience includes roles such as Generative AI Consultant for the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency, Director of Software Engineering at ODI Medical AS, and various technical positions at Cognite and Cognizant. Maged holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oslo, a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of South-Eastern Norway, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University, among other educational achievements.
