Ahmed Elkady

Ahmed Elkady is a highly experienced academic and structural engineer, currently serving as a Lecturer in Structural Engineering at the University of Southampton since August 2019. Prior to this role, Ahmed worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at EPFL from September 2016 to July 2019, focusing on advanced research in structural engineering. Between September 2010 and September 2016, teaching assistance and course lecturing were provided at McGill University, covering various topics such as probabilistic systems and nonlinear structural analysis. Earlier positions include roles as a Lecturer Assistant and Demonstrator at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, along with a significant role as a Senior Structural Designer at the Office of Design and Engineering Consultations. Ahmed Elkady holds a Ph.D. in Seismic Design of Steel Structures from McGill University, complemented by an M.Sc. in Seismic Hazard Analysis and a BASc in Civil Engineering.
