Dr Cathrine McKenzie

Dr. Cathrine McKenzie is a highly experienced clinical pharmacist specializing in critical care pharmacology, currently serving as Section Chair for Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and as an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton. With a strong background in clinical therapeutics, Dr. McKenzie has held various roles including NIHR Senior Clinical Practitioner Research Awardee and Honorary Consultant Pharmacist at University Hospital Southampton NHS FT. Notable areas of expertise include antimicrobial resistance, sedation, and delirium management. Dr. McKenzie holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Brighton and has contributed significantly to academic research and clinical education throughout a distinguished career spanning over three decades.
