Hayden Matthews

Hayden Matthews has an extensive career in engineering and infrastructure management, currently serving as the Director of Engineering & Infrastructure at the University of Southampton since February 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Site Operations Director at GSK from January 2019 to January 2024, and Director of Workplace & FM at NBCUniversal Media, LLC from July 2017 to January 2019. Hayden also held the position of Global Head of Property at BBC Studios between June 2014 and July 2017, and worked at Mace Macro as Account Director for BG Group and Senior Consultant from September 2006 to May 2014. Additional roles include managing accounts at Ernst & Young and serving as National Technical Manager, where strategic management of hard services was a focus. Earlier in the career, Hayden worked as Infrastructure Manager at the Greater London Authority and Technical Services Manager at Transport for London, starting as a Project Manager at Siebe Environmental Controls from September 1988 to May 1995.
