James Allen

James Allen is a Senior Learning Designer Team Lead at the University of Southampton since June 2014, responsible for leading innovations in digital content and learning technologies to enhance educational experiences. Previously, James held roles as a Learning Designer and Learning Design Consultant, contributing to the development of online learning solutions and providing pedagogical expertise. Prior to academia, James founded Alterations at No.1, specializing in tailored clothing and sewing services from July 2015 to April 2017. Additionally, James worked at Ageas Insurance Limited from November 2009 to May 2014 as a Learning Technology Officer and Learning and Development Coordinator, where responsibilities included creating e-learning solutions and supporting training initiatives for over 6,000 employees. James is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in E-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning at Lancaster University, following a Master of Science in Occupational Psychology and a Diploma in Learning Technology.
