Mehdi Kashani

Mehdi Kashani currently holds multiple positions at the University of Southampton, serving as Department Director of Research and Associate Professor in Structures, Design and Earthquake Engineering, as well as Lecturer in Structural Engineering since January 2017. Additionally, at the University of Bristol since April 2008, Mehdi serves as an Adjunct/Visiting Professor of Earthquake Engineering and lectures in Structural Mechanics and Earthquake Engineering. Previous experience includes a role as Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Washington in 2013, and several engineering positions at URS Corporation and Scott Wilson, focusing on bridge engineering. Mehdi's educational background includes a PhD in Structural/Earthquake Engineering and an MSc in Structural Engineering specializing in Bridge Engineering from the University of Bristol and University of Surrey, respectively, along with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University.
