Renan F Soares

Renan F Soares is an experienced professional in the field of aerospace and mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Specialist Technical Officer (R&D Applied Aero) at the University of Southampton since November 2018. Previous positions include Specialist Technical Officer focusing on enterprise and academic R&D activities, and Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Experimental Fluid Mechanics, contributing to the Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics (AFM) Group and the EU H2020 project, HOMER. Renan's earlier experience includes a Senior Research Assistant at Cranfield University, researcher at Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), and various engineering internships, demonstrating a strong foundation in fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and technical design. Renan holds a PhD in Aerospace/Applied Aerodynamics from Cranfield University, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UFU, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology - Parana.
