Richard Cross

Richard Cross is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Associate Director of IT Infrastructure at the University of Southampton, a position held since 2006. In this role, Richard is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive IT infrastructure services and plays a significant part in the department’s Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic planning and the achievement of organizational goals. Previously, Richard held several roles including Head of Infrastructure, Enterprise Development and Operations Systems/Network Manager, and Enterprise Development Systems Manager. Richard began his career at the Institute of Sound and Vibration as an Assistant IT Manager. Academically, Richard obtained a Master’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Portsmouth.
