Thomas Rushby is a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the Future Towns Innovation Hub, with a part-time secondment as a Net Zero Enterprise Fellow at the University of Southampton since January 2017. Rushby previously held the role of Research Fellow on the £10 million SAVE project, focusing on energy efficiency measures under the Low Carbon Network (LCN) Fund. Additionally, Rushby serves as a Director for the Botley Community Land Trust and has extensive experience as a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey and as a postgraduate researcher at the University of Southampton. Earlier career experience includes a decade as a Design Engineer at Rushby Brewster. Academic qualifications encompass a Master's in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies, a Summer School in Energy Management at the University of Warwick, and a HNC in Civil Engineering from Solent University.
