Alexander Fazilat

Alexander Fazilat is a dedicated research intern at Stanford University School of Medicine, specializing in wet laboratory skills and the analysis of mice skin histology, with a focus on the effects of Deferoxamine on skin fibrosis. Concurrently, Alexander holds the position of Dornsife Student Ambassador at the University of Southern California, where event planning for prospective students and promoting the pre-medical undergraduate program are primary responsibilities. Previous research experience includes a mentored project funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute under Dr. Bancroft. Alexander's background also features coaching experience at Los Altos Golf and Country Club, where swimming instruction and competition preparation for children were key duties, along with lifeguarding responsibilities. A participant in a breast cancer research project at Georgetown University, Alexander gained insights into gross anatomy and physiology. Currently pursuing a BS in Neuroscience at the University of Southern California, Alexander's academic journey began at Bellarmine College Preparatory, culminating in a high school diploma in 2022.
