Chrysostomos L Max Nikias

Chrysostomos L Max Nikias serves as President Emeritus and Professor in the Malcolm R. Currie Chair in Technology and the Humanities at the University of Southern California since July 1991. Nikias has held various significant positions, including President and Provost at USC, and has extensive experience as a board member and advisor for companies such as X1 Discovery, Arctic Semiconductor, and Synopsys Inc., where Nikias chaired the Compensation Committee. As Dean of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and founding Executive Director of the Integrated Media Systems Center, Nikias has contributed to academic leadership and research advancements. With a foundation in electrical engineering, including a PhD from the University at Buffalo, Nikias has a notable background in academia and technology.
