Darius Lakdawalla is a prominent academic and leader in health economics and policy, currently serving as the Quintiles Chair in Pharmaceutical Development and Regulatory Innovation at the University of Southern California (USC) since 2009. In addition to this role, Lakdawalla holds the position of Professor in the School of Pharmacy and Price School of Public Policy, and serves as the Director of Research at the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics, which was established with a substantial endowment from Leonard and Pamela Schaeffer. Lakdawalla co-founded EntityRisk, Inc. in 2021, and was a founding partner at Precision Health Economics, LLC from 2005 to 2020, helping the firm grow significantly in providing data-driven solutions for the healthcare industry. Prior experience includes a senior economist role and directorship at the RAND Corporation. Lakdawalla earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from Amherst College.
