Gerald Loeb

Professor Of Biomedical Engineering at University of Southern California

Gerald Loeb is an accomplished biomedical engineer with extensive experience in consulting and prototyping within the field. Since July 2007, Gerald has served as President of BIOMED CONCEPTS INC. and has contributed as Chief Scientist at GENERAL STIM INC. since July 2012, specializing in implantable neural prosthetic devices. Gerald is a cofounder and Director at SynTouch, Inc., which focuses on developing bio-inspired tactile sensors and providing services for haptics measurement, and has held the position of Chairman of the Board. Additionally, Gerald has been a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California since 1999, where involvement includes directing the Medical Device Development Facility with a focus on neural prostheses and sensorimotor neurophysiology. Gerald earned a BA and MD in Human Biology and Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University between 1965 and 1972.
