Nicole Purcell

Nicole Purcell serves as the Scientific Director of Education and Senior Research Scientist at Huntington Medical Research Institutes since January 2021. Additionally, Nicole holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, starting in June 2021. Previous roles include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California San Diego from May 2007 to January 2021, Project Scientist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from April 2002 to April 2007, and Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago from 2001 to 2002. Nicole also served as Adjunct Faculty in the Biology Department at Xavier University from 2004 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a PhD from the University of Chicago in 2002 and a PhD in Pathology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001, along with a BS in Biochemistry from Susquehanna University in 1996.
