Kenny Purcell is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in physics and university administration. Currently serving as the Director of University Core Curriculum and Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Southern Indiana since August 2009, Kenny has also held the position of Chair of Faculty Senate and previously served as Assistant Professor of Physics. Prior experience includes a role as Graduate Research Assistant at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory from May 2003 to April 2009 and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Florida State University, where responsibilities included teaching five undergraduate physics laboratory courses. Kenny Purcell earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Florida State University (2002 - 2009) and a B.S. in Physics from Western Kentucky University (1999 - 2002).
