Brian Collins is an experienced agricultural engineer and researcher specializing in crop physiology, modeling, and sustainable agricultural practices. Currently acting as Research Group Leader for the Agricultural Systems and Catchment Modeling (ASCM) Research Group at the University of Southern Queensland, Brian has previously led significant projects at James Cook University and the University of Queensland, focusing on sustainable practices in sugarcane production and the impacts of abiotic stresses on wheat crops. Brian’s work includes developing innovative agricultural models, conducting extensive experiments, and implementing data science techniques to enhance agricultural sustainability. With a solid academic foundation, including a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Tehran, Brian has contributed to various multidisciplinary projects and initiatives throughout a notable career in academia and industry.
