Kim Stewart

Lecturer In Social Work at University of Southern Queensland

Kim Stewart is a dedicated academic and community organizer with extensive experience in social work, community radio, and education. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Southern Queensland since August 2023, Kim has also held roles as a Researcher at the Community Media Training Organisation and Community Organiser for the Ability Radio Project. Previous positions include Lecturer in Human Services & Counselling at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and various roles at Queensland University of Technology, including Keystones of Success tutor and Sessional Academic. With a Doctorate of Creative Industries focused on disability and community radio from Queensland University of Technology, Kim's volunteer work includes advocacy for individuals with disabilities at 4ZZZ and counseling for victims of sexual violence through WWILD-SVP.
