Luke Hellowell

Luke Hellowell (CPEng GAICD) serves as the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) at the University of Southern Queensland since October 2025, leading the institution's digital and information portfolio to foster innovation and transformation aligned with strategic goals. Previously, Luke held various roles at Seqwater from July 2013 to September 2025, including Manager of Digital, Technology and Information Performance, where responsibilities encompassed technology strategy and governance. Luke also managed operational technology initiatives and energy sustainability efforts, delivering significant cost benefits. Earlier career experience includes positions at Australian WaterSecure Innovations Ltd., Aurecon, Rockwell Automation, Grontmij Group, ICS Triplex Silvertech, MPA Engineering, and Accenture, with a focus on engineering and project management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Newcastle and various management and cybersecurity certifications.
