Christian Ziar

Christian Ziar currently serves as the Head of Technology Transfer and Head of Intellectual Property at the University of St Andrews since April 2019, focusing on patent portfolio management, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Counsel and Corporate Counsel at Arm from August 2015 to June 2018 and as Senior Associate and Associate at N.J. Akers & Co Limited from April 2005 to July 2015. Christian Ziar holds an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and several qualifications related to intellectual property, including a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of East Anglia. Additional training includes certifications from WIPO and IPReg, along with CPD training in relevant areas.
