Rui Esteves

Rui Esteves is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data science and engineering. Currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor in Data Science at the University of Stavanger since May 2022, Rui also instructs spinning classes at Forus Sportssenter. Previously, Rui held roles such as Functional Lead at AkerBP, where responsibilities included leading data engineering squads, and various consultant positions at Bouvet ASA, advising on and implementing data solutions across several companies. Rui's experience encompasses optimizing ETL pipelines at Equinor ASA, designing cybersecurity monitoring systems, and establishing a Center of Excellence for Data Science at Aker BP. Rui's academic background includes a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Stavanger, as well as multiple degrees in computer science, artificial intelligence, and industrial engineering from renowned institutions.
