Thor Ole Gulsrud

Thor Ole Gulsrud currently serves as Vice Dean for Research and Innovation and Associate Professor in Health Technology at the University of Stavanger, where responsibilities include leading departmental initiatives. Prior roles include Research Director at IRIS AS, focusing on the Norway Pumps & Pipes project aimed at integrating health technology with industrial applications. Gulsrud also has extensive experience in corporate R&D, having worked as Senior Development Advisor at National Oilwell Varco and Research Director at SINTEF Petroleum Research, alongside previous positions in academia and industry. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Digital Image Processing from Aalborg University and an MSc in Electronics Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
