Alan Keenan

Alan Keenan is an experienced professional currently serving as the Photonics & Quantum Accelerator Impact Development Officer at the University of Strathclyde since October 2019, while also conducting PhD research focused on laser-generated and detected ultrasound applications in non-destructive testing and additive manufacturing. Previously, Alan held the position of SME Engagement Advisor at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland until July 2024 and completed an MSc in Applied Physics at the University of Strathclyde in August 2019. Alan's extensive career includes roles such as Technical & Commercial Manager at Industrial Electronics GmbH, Technical Sales Manager at Q-par Angus Ltd, and a variety of engineering and sales positions across different companies, starting from Manufacturing Engineer at Kinloch Interconnect in 1996. Alan holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
