Alasdair Macdonald is a seasoned genealogist and educator, currently serving as a Teaching Fellow and researcher in the Genealogical Studies postgraduate program at the University of Strathclyde since September 2007. In addition to academic roles, Alasdair is a member of the Board of Directors at Birthlink, focusing on the welfare of individuals affected by adoption in Scotland since November 2015. Alasdair represents Scotland for Family Tree DNA, facilitating genetic genealogy initiatives and consulting on DNA testing for ancestry research.
