Alastair Harvey

Alastair Harvey currently serves as the Assistant Faculty Finance Business Partner at the University of Strathclyde, a role held since October 2012, previously working as a Senior Finance Assistant and Financial Assistant. In these positions, Alastair is responsible for leading accounting contacts related to knowledge exchange, consultancy, and short course contracts, as well as overseeing account reconciliation, budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation. Alastair has also contributed to the 'Engage with Strathclyde' project team, organizing networking events. Prior experience includes roles at RESPONSE as a Financial & Operational Accounts Assistant, British Polythene Industries as a Cash Flow Management Associate, and Lactalis as a Cash Allocation Assistant. Alastair holds a Bacc in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of Scotland and is pursuing CIMA Chartered Accounting, expected to complete in December 2025.
