Gillian Docherty is the Chief Commercial Officer at University of Strathclyde and the former CEO of The Data Lab - Innovation Centre. Gillian is a Board Member of The Tech Partnership and has over 25 years experience in the public, private and third sectors.
Gillian has a wealth of experience in data science and artificial intelligence, and has been instrumental in leading The Data Lab to become one of the most successful innovation centres in Scotland. Under their leadership, The Data Lab has generated economic, social and scientific value for Scotland, and they have been recognised as one of the most influential women in tech in the UK.
Gillian is a passionate advocate for the power of data and its potential to transform industries and society. Gillian is a regular keynote speaker at national and international events, and is widely respected for their knowledge and insight in this area.
Gillian Docherty studied Computing Science at the University of Glasgow. Gillian also attended Cardinal Newman High School.
