Karsten Karcher, Ph.D., is a seasoned academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in advisory roles. Currently, Karcher serves as a member of the Industry Advisory Boards for the School of Creative and Cultural Business and for PR, Media and Marketing at Robert Gordon University since 2013. At the University of Strathclyde, Karcher has been an Advisory Panel Member of the Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network and an Advisory Board Member of the Strathclyde 100 Entrepreneurial Network since 2002. Karcher founded and chaired Giglets Education, an EdTech K-12 company, which was successfully sold to ILT Education in Sweden in 2022. Educational credentials include a PhD in Management Science from the University of Strathclyde, along with research experience in Management Science from the University of St. Gallen, and a Master’s degree in Management Science from the University of Strathclyde, complemented by a Master’s dissertation from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a first degree in Computer Science from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
