Marie Boyd

Marie Boyd is an accomplished researcher in translational cancer research, currently serving as the Director of Research at the University of Strathclyde since July 2009. With a robust background in scientific collaboration, Boyd has worked with medac GmbH and amsbio, focusing on joint funding and cancer research development. Boyd has contributed to the Scottish Centre for the Application of Plasma Based Accelerators as a member of the Management Board and has held a significant role in the Scottish University Life Sciences Alliance as a Reader. Additionally, Boyd has experience as a trustee and member of the scientific committee for Medical Research Scotland, alongside a tenure as Group Leader in Radiation Oncology at CRUK Beatson Labs. Boyd's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Genetics and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, both from the University of Glasgow.
