Stewart McKinlay

Stewart McKinlay serves as the Skills Director and Head of Skills Programme at the NMIS Manufacturing Skills Academy, part of the University of Strathclyde since August 2014, where a successful collaboration enhances pathways to engineering degrees and supports talent pipelines for employers. Prior to this role, Stewart worked as a Business Partner at SEMTA from October 2008 to August 2014, focusing on improving employer skills and productivity. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Training and Development Advisor at Remploy, where the development and delivery of various training courses garnered high feedback scores, and as General Manager of Panelboard Sales at Nexfor, managing significant sales functions for a £100M business. Stewart holds a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Sciences and Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, obtained in 1986.
