Thomas Doherty

Thomas Doherty is an accomplished Senior Research Software Engineer with extensive experience in both academic and research settings. Currently at the University of Strathclyde since February 2021, Thomas is involved in the bovine tuberculosis modeling initiative for DEFRA, emphasizing modern software development methodologies. Prior roles include Senior Research Software Engineer at The University of Edinburgh and Research Associate at the University of Glasgow, where Thomas contributed to high-profile projects such as the ATLAS project at CERN and the development of various tools and applications in physics. Previous positions also include work as a Grid and e-infrastructure Software Engineer at the UK National e-Science Centre and as a Software Engineer at Ericsson.
