Willie Reid

Willie Reid is an accomplished expert in the offshore energy sector with significant experience in strategic development and operational leadership. Currently serving as the Director of the Strathclyde Offshore Energy Transition Programme at the University of Strathclyde since May 2022, Willie focuses on engaging with the offshore industry to integrate traditional Oil and Gas sectors with emerging offshore energy solutions. Previously, Willie founded Aiken Reid Energy Ltd, an international consultancy specializing in strategy development and due diligence within the offshore energy landscape. Willie's leadership experience also includes directing the Strathclyde Oil and Gas Institute and managing alternative energy projects at TAQA. Additionally, Willie co-founded Gas2 Ltd, developing gas-to-liquids technology. Academic qualifications include a B.Sc from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from Henley Management College.
