Dr Yongqiang Cheng

Dr. Yongqiang Cheng is a Professor of AI aligned to Healthcare Technologies at the University of Sunderland since September 2023 and has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hull since May 2014. Previously, Dr. Cheng served as a Reader and Honorary Visiting Researcher at the University of Bradford, where involvement included a post-doctoral role in an EU FP7 project focused on aeronautical networking. Earlier experience includes a position as Product Solution Manager at ZTE and representation of the ZTE Mobility Product Line in Pakistan. Dr. Cheng earned a PhD in Engineering, Design and Technology from the University of Bradford, as well as an MSc in Control Theory and Control Engineering and a BSc in Automation from Tongji University. Additionally, Dr. Cheng is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
