Kevin Petrie

Kevin Petrie is a highly qualified academic with extensive experience in cell and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in Cell Biology at the University of Sunderland since June 2020, Kevin previously held a Lectureship in Molecular Biology at the University of Stirling from January 2016 to June 2020. Prior professional experience includes roles as a Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research from September 2005 to November 2015, and as a Marie Curie Research Fellow at FUNDACION CENTRO NACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIONES ONCOLOGICAS CARLOS III from September 2003 to August 2005. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Epigenetics from The Institute of Cancer Research, obtained between 1998 and 2003, and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Stirling (1994-1998). In addition, Kevin achieved the status of Senior Fellow in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Advance HE in January 2022.
