Tom McVeigh

Tom McVeigh is an experienced media technician currently working at the University of Sunderland, where responsibilities include supporting students with industry-standard video and audio equipment, offering project advice, and providing technical support for events. With a solid background in audio-visual technology, Tom has served as a freelance boom operator and sound assistant in various TV and film projects since October 2021. Prior experience includes working as an audio visual technician at the University of Leeds, where Tom conducted workshops and created content, as well as serving as a boom operator for ITV's Coronation Street from 2018 to 2021. Tom began a career in digital content creation at Teesside University, enhancing the institution's public engagement through visuals and social media management. Tom holds a BA (Hons) in Broadcast Media Production from Teesside University and a BTEC Extended Diploma in Games Development from Middlesbrough College.
