Alex Mandilaras

Alex Mandilaras is an accomplished academic currently serving as Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Economics at the University of Surrey since September 2001. Mandilaras has held various roles, including Director of Learning and Teaching and Senior Teaching Fellow, and has extensive experience as an External Examiner for programs at the University of Sussex, the University of Bradford, and Imperial College London. Mandilaras also contributed to the quality assurance of the Distance Learning MBA programme and the Financial Services programme for Kaplan Open Learning. Previous teaching positions include a part-time lecturer at NYU in London and a visiting lecturer at Santa Clara University, where undergraduate modules in International Finance were delivered and assessed. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from the University of Surrey, an MA in Financial and Business Economics from the University of Essex, and a BSc in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business.
