Anke Winchenbach

Anke Winchenbach, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Surrey, where responsibilities include teaching various modules related to tourism, sustainability, and professional ethics, along with serving as Co-Director of the Centre for Sustainability and Wellbeing in the Visitor Economy. Anke also holds the position of Co-president for the ISA's Research Committee on International Tourism since February 2023. As an Independent Consultant and Trainer since June 2012, expertise encompasses ESG, social impact strategies, and sustainable tourism practices. Previous roles include Senior Consultant at NEF Consulting and project management for the Travel Foundation’s Total Impact Measurement and Management project. Anke's academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Surrey, a Master's degree from King's College London, and a Diploma of Tourism Management from IST Institut Duesseldorf.
