Di Fu is currently serving as a People-Centred AI (PAI) Fellow at the Surrey Institute for People-Centred AI and as an Assistant Professor and research group director at the University of Surrey, where the research group, Digital Intelligence for Future Users (DIFU Lab), focuses on interdisciplinary studies in cognitive neuroscience and human-robot interaction. Di Fu also holds the position of ECR Representative on the School of Psychology Research Committee and serves as the Social Media Lead, promoting events and research via various platforms. Additionally, Di Fu leads the MSc program on Game Design and Digital Innovation, overseeing curriculum design and student recruitment. Previous roles include a Visiting Scholar at Uppsala University and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Hamburg, where work was conducted on crossmodal learning. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and an exchange as a PhD candidate in Informatics at the University of Hamburg. Di Fu was also a fellow at the Kavli Summer Institute in Cognitive Neuroscience.
