Jo Hartnell Ceng Mice

Jo Hartnell CEng MICE is an accomplished engineering manager currently leading the Sizewell C Enabling Works at Balfour Beatty plc since February 2021, with previous roles including HPC Senior Tunnel Quality Engineer and Nuclear Safety Champion. Concurrently, Jo serves as an Industrial Advisory Board Member for the University of Surrey, contributing to the enhancement of the Civil Engineering syllabus in collaboration with industry experts. Jo's earlier experience includes roles at Atkins as an Assistant Civil & Tunnelling Engineer and Graduate Tunnel Engineer, as well as a Geotechnical Undergraduate Engineer position at Tony Gee and Partners. With a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Surrey, Jo has developed a robust expertise in engineering design, tunneling, and quality assurance throughout a diverse career.
