Rob Thatcher

Rob Thatcher is an experienced professional in widening participation and outreach, currently serving as Widening Participation & Outreach Manager at the University of Surrey since June 2016, where responsibilities include delivering engagement initiatives in collaboration with Student Recruitment and Admissions. Prior to this role, Rob held positions as Senior Widening Participation & Outreach Officer and WPO Officer for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Additional experience includes working as a Schools Liaison Officer at Royal Holloway, University of London, and as VBuddies and Volunteer Coordinator at YMCA East Surrey, where Rob facilitated youth disability programs and managed volunteer recruitment. Rob's earlier roles include teaching Year 4 at Earlswood Junior School and serving as a Playworker for YMCA East Surrey.
