Michael Luck

Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost at University of Sussex

Michael Luck currently serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost at the University of Sussex since September 2023. Previously, Michael held various positions at King's College London from January 2007 to August 2023, including Professor of Computer Science and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, overseeing disciplines in science and engineering. Additional roles included Deputy Head of School and Head of Department at the King's Institute for Artificial Intelligence, as well as Director of the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Safe and Trusted Artificial Intelligence. Prior experience also encompasses academic roles at the University of Southampton and the University of Warwick. Michael Luck earned a PhD in Computer Science from UCL and a BSc in Computer Science from UCL, alongside studying at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
