Sean Armstrong

Sean Armstrong is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in internal and external communications across various sectors. Currently serving as Staff Communications Manager at the University of Sussex since August 2015, Sean focuses on enhancing staff engagement through innovative use of social media and other digital tools. Previously, Sean held roles including Internal Communications Officer and Press Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, where Sean developed communication strategies and new engagement methods. Additional experience includes a secondment as Digital Communications Officer at 10 Downing Street, managing media relations for major government projects at the Department for Transport, and serving as Communications Officer at Chatham House. Academic qualifications include a PgDip in Journalism from the University of the Arts London and an LLB in Law and Politics from Queen's University Belfast.
