Phillippa Carnemolla is a Senior Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney, focusing on Built Environment Innovation and Informatics within the Faculty of Design Architecture and Building. Additionally, Carnemolla serves on the Board of Directors for the Centre for Universal Design, participates in the Inclusion (Disability) Advisory Panel for the City of Sydney, and provides expert opinion and forensic design reporting across various topics including housing, design, ergonomics, and safety. As a Design and Access Consultant, Carnemolla advises not-for-profits and aged care facilities on the built environment and assists with government grant writing. Carnemolla earned a PhD from UNSW Australia in 2015, studying the intersection of housing design and health outcomes, and previously held a lecturing position in Industrial Design and Ergonomics at UNSW. An artist in residence at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Carnemolla's work, "Botanical Songforms," was recognized as a finalist in the 2013 NSW Premiers Award for Public Service.
