Scott Matter

Scott Matter is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney, specializing in transdisciplinary collaboration for research and teaching since January 2023. Previously, Scott served as Associate Director for Shaping Futures at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (NSW), where contributions included establishing a strategic foresight capability for the NSW Government. With extensive experience in product design, Scott held key positions at Nine Publishing and Fairfax Media, leading design practices and advocating for user-centered design through various research methodologies. Scott's academic background includes a PhD in Anthropology from McGill University, with teaching roles at the University of Vermont and Rutgers University, focusing on cultural anthropology and sustainability.
