Urtzi Grau has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and academia. Urtzi started their career as the Principal at Fake Industries, Architectural Agonism in 2001. Urtzi later worked as the Instructor Adjunct of Architecture at The Cooper Union from 2008 to 2013. In 2009, they also served as the Coordinator for Princeton Envelop Group until 2011. Urtzi Grau then became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York from 2011 to 2013. Currently, they hold the position of Director of the Master of Research and Director of the Masters of Architecture at UTS: University of Technology, Sydney since 2013.
Urtzi Grau attended Princeton University from 2004 to 2012, but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study. Before that, they studied at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation from 2003 to 2004, where they earned an AAD degree in Architecture. Prior to that, Grau attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Architecture.
