Wei Liu

Wei Liu is an Associate Professor in Machine Learning and the Director of the Future Intelligence Lab at the University of Technology Sydney since March 2014, leading a team focused on developing machine learning and AI solutions. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at NICTA, where fundamental machine learning research was conducted for transportation-related problems, and a Data Mining Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, producing high-quality theories published in prestigious venues. Wei Liu also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sydney and held various engineering positions, including internships at Microsoft Corporation and part-time roles at Insurance Australia Group and SMARTS Group International Pty Ltd. Wei Liu earned a PhD in Data Mining from the University of Sydney between 2008 and 2011.
