Afia Zubair Raja

Afia Zubair Raja currently serves as the Head of Department at the University of the Fraser Valley since September 2023. Previous roles include Assistant Professor of Sustainability at Western Oregon University and Assistant Professor on a tenure track at UET Lahore, where tenure spanned from February 2004 to August 2018. Additionally, Afia Zubair Raja was a Member of the Steering Committee for the Corvallis Transportation Steering Plan and has experience as a Visiting Professor at the University of South Asia. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in GIS, Transportation Planning, and Urban Planning, along with multiple degrees from the University of Engineering and Technology, including a Master's in Architecture and Urban Planning. Afia Zubair Raja's research focuses on linking job-housing balance, land use mix, and commute patterns.
