Nothando Hlophe

Head: Social Support Services (student Affairs)

Nothando Hlophe is a seasoned professional in student affairs with extensive experience at the University of the Free State, currently serving as the Head of Social Support Services since June 2018. In this role, Nothando leads strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being and promoting an inclusive campus culture. Previously, Nothando has held positions including Officer of Social Support, Professional and Research Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs, and Teaching Assistant, among others. Nothando's involvement extends to the South African Association of Student Affairs Professionals as Chief Administrative Officer, and co-founding IKUSASA Decolonisation Libraries to advance African literature. Nothando's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Sociology and extensive contributions to student engagement and support initiatives.
